The Brant Street Pier officially opened during the Sound of Music Festival in Spencer Smith Park on Father’s Day weekend, 2013. Thousands of people from Burlington and beyond flocked to the pier to enjoy sunshine and breathtaking views. The Brant Street Pier is the last part of the Waterfront at Downtown Burlington project, which also includes the parking garage at 414 Locust St., Discovery Landing, Rotary Centennial Pond and the Dofasco Water Jet Plaza.
The Brant Street Pier is a signature destination and attraction in Spencer Smith Park at The Waterfront at Downtown Burlington. The pier extends 137 metres over Lake Ontario and provides breathtaking views of the lake and Burlington’s shoreline.
A concrete walkway connects the pier to the existing promenade in the east end of the park. The pier with its distinctive S-shape and lookout level above the deck provides a unique design.
The pier design is accessible for pedestrians and maintenance equipment. The pier represents the final phase of the Downtown Waterfront Project that includes the now-completed:
